Ordinance 5581 an ordinance adopting the 2007 California Building Code as Volume I, the 2007 California Plumbing Code as Volume II, the 2007 California Mechanical Code as Volume III, the 2007 California Electrical Code as Volume IV, the 1997 Uniform Housing Code as Volume V, the 2007 California Fire Code as Volume VI, the Glendale Security Code as Volume VII and the Glendale Commercial And Industrial Property Maintenance Code as Volume VIII all of which comprise the Building And Safety Code of the City Of Glendale, 2008.

Ordinance No. 5581 includes Resolution No. 07-216 "Adopting legislative findings supporting amendments & changes to the California State Building Standards Code as contained in the Glendale Building & Safety Code, 2008".

Ordinance 5609 an ordinance of the Council of the City of Glendale adding section 4704.3 to the Glendale Building and Safety Code.
