- 8.08.010 Removal of contents-Permit required
No person shall remove, convey or transport in or through the city the contents of any cesspool, privy or vault without first obtaining a permit to do so from the city manager. A permit fee of one dollar shall be paid upon application for the permit. (Prior code § 17-1)
- 8.08.020 Sanitary requirements for toilets and washrooms.
A. Every person maintaining any toilet, washroom, bath or shower room for the use of employees or the public shall at all times keep the floors, walls, ceilings, lavatory, urinal and toilet bowl free from any accumulation of dirt, filth or corrosion. All lavatories shall be supplied with soap and individual towels with a receptacle for their disposal. All toilet rooms shall be provided with toilet paper.
B. In connection with every public toilet erected, there shall be maintained hand washing facilities for the public and employees. (Prior code § 17-2)
- 8.08.030 Privies.
No person shall maintain a privy within the city, except in the following instance:
A privy constructed in the manner provided by the State Health and Safety Code may be maintained during the construction of a building; provided, however, that as soon as the rough plumbing and necessary toilet fixtures are installed in such building and connected with a cesspool or to the sewer and approved by the permit services administrator, such privy shall be immediately removed and the vault filled in a sanitary manner.
