The city treasurer and the city clerk and each of the other officers and employees as determined by the city manager shall be covered by a faithful performance blanket bond to the city, as beneficiary, for the faithful performance of his or her duties and to account to the city for all moneys and other property coming into his or her hand or control. All officers and employees of the city shall be covered by a public employees' honesty blanket bond indemnifying the city against loss of money or other property which the city shall sustain through larceny, theft, embezzlement, forgery, misappropriation, wrongful abstraction, willful misapplication or other fraudulent or dishonest act or acts committed by any one or more of the employees. The honesty blanket bond shall be in a sum as the council may from time to time set by resolution. (Prior code § 4-52)
