Chapter 2.26 HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT

2.26.010 Human resources department—Created.

A human resources department is established in the department of general government and shall be composed of the following sections: recruitment, testing, training, employee relations, employee health services, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and safety. (Ord. 5599 § 3 (part), 2008)

2.26.020 Director of human resources—Duties generally.

A. The director of human resources shall have charge over the following functions: recruitment, testing, training, employee relations, employee health services, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, safety and if approved and authorized by the civil service commission, shall function and be the chief examiner and secretary to the civil service commission.

B. The director of human resources shall be an officer of the city. (Ord. 5599 § 3 (part), 2008)
